SCHOLARSHIP dinner

On Monday, January 28th we had our Scholarship Dinner to honor the hard working brothers who received a 3.0 GPA or higher in the Fall 2012 term. We also announced our first scholarship recipient for the Fall 2012 Term. Our motto is "extend a helping hand" and this scholarship honors a freshman who has exhibited the characteristics most prized by our fraternity. The award is based on scholarly achievement, university and community involvement, and leadership. The 500 dollar scholarship was awarded to Brother Brian Ceballos, presented by our President Rhys Jones, Scholarship Chairman, Kyle Monson, and Treasurer Alex Cheney. We had several alumni come and join us for dinner as well as the guest speaker, the Coordinator of Greek Life at OSU, Bob Kerr. In addition alumni Roger Rollins gave a motivational speech, about the history of Theta Chi and his time spent at Sigma Chapter.
